There are many islands to check out, all so beautiful.
In Stockholm, my family and I did a bike tour, we saw a lot of cool monuments. We went to this super fun amusement park called Gronalund and went to the Vasa museum, the king's boat was called Vasa, so they decided to display it. There was this other museum called Skansen, and apparently it's one of the only outdoor museums ever; there were tons of exciting things to learn and do there, something you should definitely visit! We also visited some friends in their summer houses and went on their boat. If your lucky you might be able to see some wild deers!
After visiting our friends, we went to a short two day cruise to Helsinki, Finland. Helsinki is so wonderful. When we docked, we got off and walked for a bit. After we saw this little market called Market Square. Many people were selling souvenirs and other items. Next to the market there was a ferry and some other boats parked. We took the ferry to these small islands called Suomenlinna. There was so much to learn there and so much interesting historic artifacts that have been preserved for over 300 years! Next to the market and harbour, there was a nearby tram which we took to Rock Church. Rock Church was so beautiful. It was like you were inside a mountain full of rocks and it was so peaceful. Then we took the tram to Senate Square which had a amazing cathedral in the middle with little shops and cafes circling. We went inside the cathedral and it was huge and had such beautiful interior design- with paintings and golden chandeliers. After, we got back on the boat and headed for Stockholm.
We spent a day in Stockholm and put our luggage in the bus terminals' lockers. From there, we walked to an area called Hötorget. There was a little market in front of the Konserthuset. Next to the market, there's this little indoor food market called Hötorgshallen. There's lots of seafood and cheese down there and some delicious-looking gelato! If you walk straight down to this long shopping alley, there's a bunch of shops selling souvenirs and clothing! At the end of the shopping lane, there's a park which is really fantastic but small.
Then we met a friend at this delicious cinnamon bun place called Fabrique. After that we went back to the terminal and did a bit of shopping there, then headed on the bus to the plane!
Goodbye Sweden :(
